6. Delivery of Digital Products

Upon successful payment, your digital non-fiction book will be delivered to the email address provided at checkout within 10 minutes of payment confirmation. If you have not received your product within 60 minutes, please contact us at larusargentatus@gmx.co.uk and we will resolve the issue promptly.

Larus Argentatus accepts no liability for failed delivery resulting from an incorrectly entered email address. Customers are responsible for verifying their contact details before completing a purchase.

7. Right of Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction date without providing a reason.

If you would like to request a refund for a digital non-fiction book, please contact us within 14 days of your purchase at larusargentatus@gmx.co.uk. Each request will be reviewed individually and on its own merits. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.

Refunds, if approved, will be returned via the original payment method. Please note that depending on your payment provider, processing times may vary.

  • Refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and approval is not guaranteed
  • Gift cards are not eligible for refunds once issued
  • Larus Argentatus reserves the right to decline refund requests that show evidence of misuse, such as repeated refund requests or unauthorized redistribution of content

8. Gift Cards

Gift cards issued by Larus Argentatus have no expiry date and may be used on any website or language version operated by Larus Argentatus. After purchase, your gift card will be delivered to the provided email address within 10 minutes. Gift cards cannot be exchanged or refunded once issued.

9. Charitable Contributions & Environmental Commitment

Larus Argentatus is fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We believe learning should never come at the expense of the planet. Digital products are not entirely impact-free, but they require far fewer resources than printed books and create zero physical waste. With every purchase, you help restore forests, protect wildlife, and keep our oceans clean, making your learning journey part of a positive global change.

Tree Planting & Partner Donations For every order placed directly on the Larus Argentatus website with a value above €10, we will:

  • Plant one tree in partnership with Eden People+Planet, a globally recognised reforestation organisation dedicated to restoring ecosystems and empowering communities through large-scale tree planting
  • Donate 10% of the order total, distributed equally between our two environmental partner organisations:
    • 5% to WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) — supporting global wildlife and nature conservation
    • 5% to The Ocean Cleanup — supporting the development and deployment of technologies to rid the world's oceans of plastic

These contributions are made automatically on every qualifying order and are not conditional on any other factor.

Please note: Tree planting and partner donations apply exclusively to direct purchases made on the Larus Argentatus website. They do not apply to purchases made via affiliate links to third-party platforms such as Apple, or to Larus Argentatus products sold through third-party marketplaces such as eBay, Etsy, or similar platforms.

Beyond the Environment While our primary focus is environmental impact, we also recognise that meaningful change reaches further. We actively refer our community to impactful organisations working across humanitarian and social causes in Europe and globally, including the Red Cross, the World Food Programme, Action Against Hunger, Child Helpline International, and others. Though we are unable to financially support every cause, we are committed to raising awareness and directing our community toward organisations making a real difference.

Transparency & Reporting Larus Argentatus publishes an annual report detailing the total contributions made to our partner organisations and the environmental impact achieved. This report is made available on our website.

The charitable commitments described in this section are core to the operation of Larus Argentatus. While contributions are subject to operational capacity and partner programme availability, it is our firm intention to honour these commitments on every eligible order.

10. Customer Responsibilities
